Event Planner (Part-Time)
Locals Only | 311 Alexander Street, Rochester, NY 14604 | Part-time
$19 to $24 per hour | Daytime hours plus event days.
Locals Only is a breakfast and lunch restaurant on Alexander Street in Rochester, open daily 8am to 3pm with full coffee and cocktail service. Our mission: we provide world-class delighted guest experiences for our guests through food, beverage, art, and meaningful human connection.
Own private events, large parties, and corporate catering from first inquiry through the day of the event.
What you will do
- Answer event and large party inquiries and turn them into bookings
- Build proposals, menus, and timelines with the kitchen and bar
- Manage bookings in Tock and catering orders in EZCatering
- Run the day-of details so the floor team can focus on service
- Follow up after every event and grow repeat business
- Keep event paperwork, deposits, and invoices in order
What we are looking for
- Experience booking and running events, private parties, or corporate catering
- At least 2 years of experience in events, catering, or hospitality sales
- Availability at least 2 days per week, 8am to 3pm, plus event days
- Organized, responsive, and comfortable talking to guests and companies
Pay and perks
- $19 to $24 per hour
- No late nights. Every shift ends by mid-afternoon
- One shift meal per shift, plus 50% off other menu items
